IT Business Continuity

Living dangerously costs the UK £11.1 billion per year

The Business Continuity Institute (BCI) announced that it estimated that the UK economy is losing £11.1 billion a year, to major disruptions, due to lack of business continuity. This is equivalent to 0.8% of UK GDP. Key findings in the Chartered Management Institute's annual report on business continuity in the UK included:

  • only 25% of businesses questioned had plans in place to cope with disruption
  • 32% did not test their continuity plans at all
  • 58% do not have plans in place to cater for IT loss.

Failures result in:

  • missed customer orders
  • dissatisfied and lost customers
  • increased cost of repairs
  • lost revenues.

Lightsout provides business continuity and disaster recovery plans that focus on prevention rather than cure. Customers ranging from corporations to SMEs all have the same peace of mind, that in the event of a failure, their business information is preserved and their operations will continue.
